Process lead Rationalisation and Unification of Management Systems. The SAPIRA System and process is geared to one thing, Buiness Sustainability. The system and our processes take you through a logical step by step tested methodology which will :- 1. Identify Business Threats (Gap Analysis) 2. Help us understand more about your organisation and the issues that need to be addressed 3. Develop a programme of improvements to your Policies, Processes and Procedures Sometimes we all forget what our primary objectives of business are. To make money, stay in business or achieve our Mission Statement. We introduce preventative management systems and populate them with specialists, who if we are not careful, can occasionally forget to look outside their business silo. Our approach is to encourage you to take a more holistic approach to your management systems, something that all members of Sapira strongly believe in. Any business project requires a complete project management structure, a portfolio of evidence of compliance and conformance and a reference library of documents and further information. The Sapira software , The Dynamic Aspect Register or "DAR" for short provides all of this and more. See the section on the DAR for more information on this. Key elements of the Sapira Approach Surveys, Assessments, Planning, Implementation, Review, Audit (SAPIRA). The SAPIRA method is designed to provide you and our management team with as much reference information as we can extract to allow us to expose the opportunities that exist for improvement. Like all good management systems we also need to check that you are on target and that we are building the necessary due diligence by which you can defend your actions should an incident occur. We try to apporach every project in the same way therefore :- S - Scoping/Survey usually undertaken by a SAPIRA Manager who will undertake an initial review of your site, systems and resources. A - Following the site survey, sometimes including the collection of digital pictures of non conformance along with documentary evidence of complince, your assigned SAPIRA Manager will create your on line DAR. This is a list of the issues "Aspects" that we have found. We look to priorities these for you to ensure some "quick wins". Based on your company profile he will then also help you to select the most appropriate members of our Implementation Team who will be able to help you. P - Planning and budgeting now follows with an agreed schedule of "Progress Visits" by your SAPIRA Team. This would normally include the inclusion of a number of on site consultancy days, attendance at Management Meetings etc, as well as agreeing the number of on line consultants that should be assigned to the DAR. I - Implementation. The key feature being that the SAPIRA system is designed to allow you to truly delegate and outsource the completion of the project without having to commit internal management time and cost. During the Implementation phase relevant documents will be uploaded into the on line document library within your software. These can include all management system documents, standard operating procedures, training information, emergency procedures and incident plans. R - Review is one of the most important tools used by the SAPIRA System in ensuring that time milestones are achieved and Actions closed. The system allows for quarterly management meetings with a SAPIRA Manager. As the project developes Aspects loaded into the Action Register will tend to relate to things found during audits of the management systems or procedures, ensuring that you are able to demonstrate constant improvement and due diligence. A - Audit the final part of the equation where all Risk Management Aspects are assessed for the year. We recommend that all sites budget for an annual audit of the systems and emergency procedures by one of our skilled auditors. Why is it called the Dynamic Aspect Register and why do we use it ? Traditionally health, safety and environmental management systems, have created there own little empires. In recent years though organisations have begun to realise that this type of silo management creates barriers to both change and improvement. The SAPIRA System and it's associated software, the DAR, reflects this change of approach creating one single register of issues, hazards, non conformances or "Aspects" as we like to call them which encourages a more holistic approach and ownership by all members of the organisation. In addition we are able to incorporate links to on line consultants who can provide the expertise, drive and resource to get things done. Based on the principle that two heads are always better than one. In today's litigious society company directors need help in complying with the morass of legislation in so many areas. Using the Dynamic Aspect Register we are therefore able to link you to our team of on-line consultants who provide specific guidance and advice as risk issues arise. The SAPIRA network and system includes trained managers, practitioners and member companies who through the SAPIRA Network web site, combine to offer solutions to client risk problems.
